Windward Wins Elite Award!

Tourism operators from Western Australia’s tourism industry gathered at the stylish Astral Ballroom at the Burswood Entertainment Complex on Saturday 16th February 2008 for the announcement of the winners of Tourism Council WA’s inaugural Elite Awards. The Elite Awards recognise excellence in customer service for tourism businesses throughout Western Australia with the results compiled from two mystery shopping visits undertaken during the competition period.  There were 66 nominations from all over Western Australia received and the results from the mystery shops were of high quality.  Many of the entrants of the 2007 Elite Awards including Windward produced such a high quality of customer service that their final score was 100% and therefore there was no overall winner on the night. Windward plus eight other entrants that received 100% were each awarded with a trophy acknowledging their excellence in customer service. Broome displayed impressive results on the night by taking away four of the 100% trophies.
